Price for John Deere 755

I'm looking at a used John Deere 755 compact tractor with 475 hours, 4WD, a bucket loader, and a mid-mount 60" mower. It's in very good shape--looks like it was garage kept. The mechanic also says that the maintenance was done regularly. The dealer is asking $12,500 for it. Is this a fair price? I'm brand-new to the tractor business, and I'd greatly appreciate some feedback.Thanks very much--Bud Reed

It sounds to me like a fair price, as long as it's in very good conditon.
This summer I purchased a "96 JD755 with 404 hours, 4 wd, loader, turf tires, 3 point hitch, an roll bar. It cost me 12,400.00 It is in excellent condition.
you didnt state the year model it is but the hours are pretty close.
Its a great machine. I love the hydro trans.. The fact that the one you are looking at is 4wd, to me makes it much more valuable. You will need the 4 wd if you plan on doing things other than mowing grass.
